This week...

"I’m kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air / So there / I’m kinda older than I was when I revelled without a care / So there" has sort of turned into my theme song this week. Maybe it's just because Lorde is everywhere.

On Monday, we had perfect spring weather. The temperature was 50 but easily felt like 70 with the sunshine. We played outdoors without jackets. The next day was cooler and overcast, but we still worked around the yard and I happily found bulbs poking up out of the ground. 

Wednesday we awoke to another snow day and lots of heavy, wet snow on the ground. It was nice to be forced to relax at home with two of my favorite little people (who will not be so little for too much longer).

And while I wasn't blogging, I did get a few things done around our house. I hung the family gallery wall in our living room. 

I decorated in the simplest way for Saint Patrick's Day. 

I hung the plates on the wall. 

And created a stand-in for the console skirt that works for now.

I had some help hanging some other things like hooks near the kitchen ...

... and in the entryway.

Oh, and I've hardly been on Pinterest because I've given up sweets for Lent and it's just too tempting (not to mention I am so utterly sick of my winter wardrobe that seeing fashions just makes me want to give our entire savings over to Nordstrom). 

But I have been also doing a Lenten #40bagsin40days which is good decluttering. Nobody said the bags had to be huge; most of mine are grocery store-sized.
