High Five Fancy Friday
Are you so excited it's Friday??? Even though it was a short week for us because of a snow day/state of emergency here in Michigan, I am ready for the weekend and think it has everything to do with all the great inspiration out there. Here are some of my favorites from the week, otherwise known as the High Five Friday.
1. Dark and Moody
Did you see Gwen's beautiful dining room? It makes me want to paint everything black including the ceiling. And the mural is to die for, is it not? The overall effect is so dramatic and elegant, and I can't help but love it more because a T.S. Eliot quote gave her the courage to go for it.
2. Light & Bright
On the other hand, I am also loving how Cheryl transformed her living room with a simple can of bright white paint (or Pantone seed pearl, as the case may be). Isn't that transformation amazing?! Everything feels so much more cohesive in the after photo, and the beautiful furniture pops.
3. X-Women
The Taylor Burke Home-Cotton & Quill x-bench contest is live on One Kings Lane! Five fantastic design bloggers were challenged to create a beautiful design around one (or two) of these gorgeous little x-benches. Check all of them out here.
4. New Series: Designer Files
This week Michaela Noelle started a fun new series called Designer Files and her first guest was Julia Ryan. I love her style! There's lots of good advice for finding your own style in the Q&A.
5. This. Rug
I've changed some of the lyrics to this song to "Oh my god, look at that face rug. You look like my next mistake expense" after seeing this one on Krystine's top ten Tuesday. Ahhhh... Isn't it pretty??? I have just the spot for it if I reconfigured a few things. It's the perfect irregular size at 6x14.
Until later, my friends, happy weekend!!!
That mural is amazing. And yes, it is amazing what a little white paint can do. Adore Michaela. Had the chance to meet her as her brother is at Baylor with our daughter.
